After gaining diplomas in Fashion Design and Natural History Illustration at Bournemouth College of Art and Design, I went on to do a degree in Graphic Arts at Cambridge. Keen to work in the creative field, I joined a design agency soon after graduating, and began to work with some major clients. I loved web design from the start as I could always see it had such rich potential. After a few years, I moved onto bigger projects and relocated to London to join an IT Services and Design company as a Senior Interactive Designer.
In 2004 I was in Kerala when the tsunami struck and was evacuated along with many of the local people. Inspired by the sincere aid efforts and having always wanted to spend a year doing voluntary work, this was a major catalyst for me. In 2005 I said farewell to my long term work colleagues and headed out to spend a year doing voluntary work in India. It was an amazing and challenging year in which I learnt a lot, using my skills and helping in whatever way I could.
In 2006 I moved to Canada and now live in Halfmoon Bay in British Columbia, a short ferry ride away from Vancouver. I work as a freelance web and graphic designer primarily. In my spare time I'm involved in ongoing voluntary charity work and also pursuing photography and writing projects.
